I am writing to update you on some recent changes we have made at Monkey Puzzle Day Nursery Bedford. We have appointed a Principal to the nursery. Aura Moldovan started with us on Monday 9th May 2016. Aura has a wealth of experience in Early Years and managing a variety of settings. Aura’s appointment will enable Kay to focus on supporting the staff team across the nursery as we strive to provide an even greater quality of care and education for all children. Kay will also be leading the introduction of our new electronic planning and assessment system , Learning Book. Learning Book is designed to minimise paperwork for staff and enable them to spend even more time supporting children to develop and grow. It will also provide you with the opportunity to regularly view, and contribute to, your child’s learning. Aura will initially be undertaking her induction into Monkey Puzzle and therefore may not always be visible at the nursery. Please note that Kay remains in place as the Nursery Manager and is your first point of contact for any queries or issues that may arise. Additionally, we have appointed two new practitioners to join our pre-school team, Stacey and Eno. Stacey is a level 3 qualified practitioner with several years’ experience in another setting. Eno has a BA in Childhood Studies and has been appointed to the nursery as Third in Charge. She has experience in both early years and management. We look forward to working with them both. Please be aware that Becky continues to work in pre-school but due to academic commitments has requested a flexible contract. We are pleased to support this and wish her luck with her exams. We are still currently recruiting for staff for our baby room and will keep you informed of any new recruits. Thank you for your continued support.
